The Garden Group will meet on April 2nd at 10 AM in the library. We’ll start with a short business meeting, followed by “the main course”. It’s our eagerly awaited annual food event with Chef Colby Rottler, a private chef and graduate of the Johnson & Wales culinary program. He’ll prepare delicious dishes for us to sample while demonstrating cooking techniques and discussing the ingredients he uses to create the special dishes for our group.

The Garden Group May Luncheon is scheduled for May 7th at 10 AM in the Friends Meeting House. In keeping with our tradition, this will be a potluck luncheon. Prior to lunch, members of the group will create small flower arrangements to deliver to our housebound members. Please contact Cindy Turse if you are aware of anyone who might appreciate some special sunshine in their day.

Sharon Doyon announced June 28th as the date for our garden tour, “June in Bloom.” A committee of Garden Group members will lead the event, but other MWC members are welcome to volunteer as garden hosts. Sign-up sheets will be available at the March luncheon. As always, this is a rainor-shine event. Our March 5th meeting potted canna tubers. In May, we’ll transplant them into barrels and gardens around town. All MWC members are invited to “foster” cannas for two months.
