October Walks
Friday, October 9, 10:00 am – Nasketucket State Reservation.
 Brandt Island Road, Mattapoisett.  ( Entrance is about 1 1/2 miles down Brandt Island Road on right.). Free parking in lot.
This is a woodsy walk leading either to a beach or a farm depending on which trail we take.
Friday, October 16, 10:00 am. Mount Hope Farm, 250 Metacom Ave., Bristol Road Island.   (Rain date Oct. 23)
This is a beautiful farm with walking trails along Mount Hope Bay.  Free admission.  We’ll plan to have lunch at Basil & Bunny beforehand. Meet at Park & Ride on North St., Mattapoisett at 10:00 am to carpool.
Lunch at https://basilandbunny.square.site/.  This is a vegan restaurant in Bristol, opens at 11:00.  Many gluten free options also.

Friday, October 23, 10:00 am.  Washburn Memorial Park, 5 Washburn Park Place,  Marion, MA. (Note:  if we are rained out for Mount Hope the prior week, we will go to Mount Hope Farm instead. See above.)
Washburn Park is a lovely woodsy trail leading to a cranberry bog.
Friday, October 30, 10:00 am, Ellis Cemetery, 73 Wolf Island Road (enter from the west side off Long Plain Rd), Mattapoisett.
Happy Halloween!  Come walk with us on this “most haunted road in Massachusetts”. Meet at the Bolles-Ellis cemetery (where else?!). Wear a costume if you like.
Not all our walks are woodsy, and we will most likely be walking paved surfaces when colder weather arrives. If you would like to join us, please contact Sue Mitchell. We’d love to see you!
