Members of the MWC Executive Board as well as all committee, group, and project leaders are invited to a Meet and Munch get together for what will be an unofficial initial meeting of the MWC leadership for the 2024-25 calendar year.

This get together will be held on Thursday, June 13, and will get underway at 10:00 — and be a relatively short event — in the Library Meeting Room. This casual occasion is designed to be largely social — with some light business mixed in — during which we can get to meet each other before our first official meeting in September.

Cindy and I would like to share what we’ve been doing — and thinking of doing — over the last weeks in the life of the MWC.  We hope to get a sense of your reaction to things that are currently living only in the planning stage because we also hope that by getting to know who’s who, what’s what, and to hear your input  early in the summer like this, we will be better acquainted and better able to get off to a running start come the fall.

We will provide a bit of summery morning fare, with attendees asked to lug their own mug full of their favorite morning beverage.  Of course, you’re invited to add something to the table if you’re so inclined!

We sincerely hope that you will there, mug in hand or not!  //Kate and Cindy

====================================================

As a reminder, the Executive Board is responsible for the Club’s fundraising, social activities, community commitments, and educational pursuits as well as for all administrative plans and decisions for the coming year.  Meetings are held at 10:00 a.m. at the Library, in the downstairs Meeting Room, on the second Thursday of each month.

Whether young or old in age or in length of time as a member of the Club, everyone is a member of this organization and is always more than welcome to come to any meeting of the Executive Board to become more aware of the plans for the year, especially the year’s fundraising-related  activities that we count on you to support with your participation.  All that is required to come to the meetings is some cleverness and/or creativity and/or curiosity; previous experience with any item on the agenda or that you would like to see there is always welcome and appreciated.

As a member of the MWC, you are entitled to receive a copy of the monthly agendas for and/or the minutes of the meetings.  To do so, contact the Corresponding Secretary of the Executive Board who will add your name and address to the distribution list(s).  Participation in the planning activities does not obligate you to join a particular activity unless, of course, the activity is of interest to you, but we do hope to find you participating in as many of the activities as your time and calendar permit.

We hope to see you and other members of the MWC at upcoming meetings, which are held on the second Thursday of each month, not including June, July, or August (except under special circumstances), in the Community Room at the Town Library.

Sincerely,

Kate Brown
Incoming President of the MWC
